JohnP
One of our new chickens seems to spend most of her time with her tail bent to the right. Is this likely to be a sign of anything wrong? She does straighten out sometimes, though. I was wondering whether it was just her egg-laying bits getting sorted out (she's yet to lay, but her comb is a lot bigger and redder than it was just last Wednesday when she arrived). The Dogmother
I know exactly what you mean John - one of mine does that and she also wags her tail. I can't see anything wrong with her, so just leave it. It's odd, isn't it? I'd suggest just leaving her and keeping an eye on things.
Sheilaz
Same here, one of mine does that but she's really healthy & lays well. Perhaps it's like a person who tends to stand with their head on one side, just a habit really? Of course, keep an eye out if the tail stays down (as opposed to just wonky ) or if she seems unwell.
