braden01
Our lovely girls, Clucker and Ginger, arrived 2 weeks ago and are settling in really well. They are now following us round everywhere and Ginger came and sat on the chair next to me whilst I was on my laptop outside today. If we have anything in our hands, the chucks flock around in 2 seconds flat as it might be their favourite sweetcorn..or just something else they find interesting. Clucker does seem to be doing very liquid poos quite a lot of the time still and has slightly soiled feathers at her rear end. Besides this, she looks really well, very lively, eats well etc. Is this something I should worry about? She does tend to gorge on little flowers etc in the garden and scoffs any sweetcorn etc really quickly, although we're trying not to give her too many treats. Any advice? theherd123
Ginger & Clucker look great and i love your pink eglu! As for Cluckers poohs i would add some Bokashi bran to their food and see if this improves them - this tip was given to me by Claret and works really well. You can buy Bockashi from the Omlet shop too
Kathy C
Our girls were like that, and we worried about it too. It took about nearly 3 weeks to settle down into a solid-poo routine. Yellow smelly liquid poos are quite normal, (1 in 10 it says elsewhere on the forum) as they come from another part of the gut.
Egluntyne
Pretty girls. They look healthy and alert. The odd squittery poo is normal as KathyC says.
Jill
They look very pretty and extremely healthy. How do you manage to keep the grass so nice, my girls destroy it within hours!
braden01
..I will get some bran if it doesn't seem to improve in next few days. They are both so lively and eating /drinking well that I find it hard to believe she's actually ill.
braden01
They look very pretty and extremely healthy. How do you manage to keep the grass so nice, my girls destroy it within hours! Well, we've only had them 3 weeks and the lawn is actually 170 ft long so plenty of room for only 2 chucks - ask me again in a couple of months and it will probably look completely different!
