Cinnamon
How about sweating some onion & a bit of apple (if not add apple sauce to the meat), adding it to the mince, maybe with some thyme & seasoning,& shaping it into burgers?
majorbloodnock
Unlikely you've got any filo pastry or wonton wrappers lying around, but if so then why not do some wonton soup. In fact, there are loads of chinese dishes you could do with a bit of minced pork, and as I type I'm also invisaging minced pork stuffed into some steamed oriental dumplings..... DebC
Greek Meatballs - Finally grate/chop some potatoes and carrot finely chop an onion, bread crumbs season with dried p"Ooops, word censored!"ly, dried mint, salt, pepper and ground cinnamon, Egg to bind Mix up/knead and form into balls (firmly pressed) fry until cooked This is just one of those things I make without weighing. My OH is greek cypriot and this was a recipe from a greek friend. If I'm using 2 x 500g packs I use four medium sized potatoes and a couple of good sized carrots, a large onion with a table spoon of mint/parsley and a teaspoon of cinnamon. I use a couple of good sized slices of bread to make into crumbs. I use the deep fat fryer - but only when the oil is needing to be changed as it definately needs to be changed after this! I made some over the weekend and this made 60 meatballs - I know that this sounds a lot but they are very moorish and there are none left now. they can be eaten hot or cold
Ygerna
I went with the burger option, using apple sauce and they were really actually flippin yummy I will however keep the other ideas handy, as I found some more in the freezer later this evening. I must have been on a bit of a minced pork shop-a-thon or something
