Unsecure chicken perches

I was doing some clean-up in the run...

 

adding new woodchips

washing the glug and grub

topping up the dust bath with new dirt and ashes

added a log for them to sit on, peck at, do what chickens do...

 

you'd think I'd thrown a cayote in the run...they were growling at it

they are now sitting in the giving the log long hard stares

 

they are toooooooo funny!

Mine did the same! Cockerels also attacked it.

I put a lovely little tyre in my girls' WIR for a dustbath. They wouldn't go within 4 feet of it .

I'll entice them back out with some grapes....they go crazy for grapes!

 

 

they got the grapes and scurried back in again...crazy chooks!

I had to cover a tree stump in sweetcorn to overcome their fear

You should have seen how crazy our girls went when we put a mirror in the run we had to take it out the following day to restore normality

they must have got hungry as they came back out for a snack before bedtime - it'll be interesting to see what they do in the morning...
