Lavenders_Blue
Watched this programme- everything looked lovely Will definitely have a go at the millefeuille as an easy but impressive dessert and maybe the choc cake too if I'm feeling patient. I liked the look of the fig and cream cheese tart but I couldn't work out if it was supposed to be sweet or savoury, if that's not a stupid question?! Daphne
I thought it was very good too - nice and down to earth, demystifying things But I couldn't work that fig dish out either - I don't think I'd want it for my main course with the honey in it, but I suppose fig and cheese do work together. I thought the mille feuille was the best revelation - we can all do it and best of all you can change the flavours depending on your favourites. I can see that coming out for my next dinner party

bluekarin
Just watched it on the iplayer. What an excellent programme. And not just for the recipes, but for little things like when she made the flapjacks, and using the melted butter to grease the tin, before adding the sugar to melt. Grating chocolate into melted butter. Little things like that. I think the fig tart would make a great starter. I couldn't imagine having it for a main or a pud. I want her book now too
Chucky Mama
The Book People have it HERE I don't know how the price compares with other places though
bluekarin
Looks good. Even with the postage factored in it's still cheaper than the rrp. I'm in town tomorrow so I shall see what Tesco and other book shops are charging.
