craftyhunnypie
Clothkits website have got a sale on. Some lovely kits on there. I have indulged & ordered quite a lot of stuff. I love the birdie bag & purse kit reduced to £12. Will make it as my knitting club bag & the purse can hold my buttons, stitch holders etc. I also bought a lion cushion / toy kit for £3 something, some bobble edging, some fabrics, some very kitsch ribbons on bobbins & a doll kit. Can't wait for it all to come & I can make some nice things. I wanted a few felting kits too & a campervan tapestry cushion kit - but will have to wait until my next big craft spend from my craft money pot (£2 coins). craftyhunnypie
Ooo my stuff has arrived & I'm amazed at the excellent quality of fabrics. I think the lion cushion kits are an absolute bargain with the thread included too! Emma.x
Christian
I bought 2 door stop kits for £7 including postage Another favourite site Edited to add - 30 minutes after placing my order, I received an email to say the items have been posted! That is great service
craftyhunnypie
Was it the apple door stops? I liked those & forgot to put them in my basket. The bobbins of ribbon are so cute & the fabrics are to die for. I think my Summer wardrobe will have a few clothkits skirts in this year too. Christian
Yep, the apple ones. If you order the extra denim, you can make 2 doorstops for an extra £2! The bobbins are lovely. I got a couple as Christmas pressies a few years ago. Too nice to use

craftyhunnypie
Ooo you'll have them made by teatime. I'm putting another order in over the weekend definitely! I am so impressed by their stuff & their service! Happy Sewing Christian! Emma.x
bluekarin
I thought they sounded familiar - I bought one of their kits for my ED to give to her friend for her bday. It was a wintry decorations kit and I got it from Waitrose. I am wishing I hadn't looked at the website now though. Gorgeous ribbons, and buttons, and fabric, and things! Lesley
I was thinking I remembered the name from the 70s - and then found that as their header!, I always wanted to buy one of the ragdoll kits but never had enough money! I don't think a bustle skirt is for me but love some of the other stuff.
craftyhunnypie
Is the bustle skirt the one with the ruffle bit on the back? If so, that's the one I've fallen for! I want a birdie skirt, a barbican skirt & a retro cassette skirt too. Not wanting much am I? I fancy making one from some of the apple fabric too..scrumdidlyumptious! Lesley
I've got enough 'bustle' of my own without adding extra fabric to it
craftyhunnypie
Oh give over! I'm cutting out the lion as I type. Then it will be the birdie bag. Emma.x
Bramble
Are these kits fairly "idiot proof"? I'm looking for a "first project" so don't want anything too complicated
craftyhunnypie
The lion is super easy. 3 pieces to cut out, sew round & stuff. The dolly is quite easy too - just a bit more cutting out & snipping of seams after sewing - but easy. The bag is a bit more complicated as you have to line it too & there is a zip to put in the purse. You also have to cut & make your own bag handles. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. Some of the little girl dresses look very simple. Cut out, fold in half, sew round & your little girl has a dress to wear. I haven't got children though & think they might be a bit too small for me. Shame! Go for a lion kit or an eskimo! Look on the website. Emma.x
Bramble
Thank you! The dresses are very cute, but as you say, a tad small for me too I was thinking about the door stops, they might not be too difficult ... but then again I am a total beginner with a machine, so perhaps a lion it is! Christian
I ordered he door stops and the kit is quite simple; cut out the pieces and sew together. Maybe a bit fiddly for the bottom panel, but not hard.
Ygerna
I visit this site all the time, but, never been brave enough to buy anything. Too scared I'll screw it up.
