Plum
Lovely how they've come on. Marmite's a girl but they develop at different rates and it won't be long.
chestnutmare
Ahhh lovely pictures. Marmite is just hanging on a little - she doesn't want you to get all of the excitement all at once.
Sam
Thank you Two new layers would be far too much excitement for one day!! I don't know why, but getting this egg was so much more exciting! I think it was because she was young when we got her, so to see her now give us an egg was brilliant
Sageandonion
Lovely girls . Let us in on your secret - how does Casper stay so white?
Poached Egg
Very lovely girls! Lovely girls . Let us in on your secret - how does Casper stay so white? My advice is don't give them a dust bath filled with very orange/red sand (albeit natural). Our white girl is rather strawberry blonde
Sam
Lovely girls . Let us in on your secret - how does Casper stay so white? I honestly don't know!! I bought them bird sand ( a very big bag ) for them to use as a dust bath. But nooo, they don't like nice clean sand they prefer wet boggy mud! They all go to bed covered in mud, yet all come out in the morning all clean! I haven't washed them either, they seem to manage themselves
Sageandonion
Most impressive - maybe Casper has a secret stash of Persil in the eglu
Chortle Chook
Can I have some of that secret whitener too please? My white silkie is - well - Marmite coloured All last summer she would dust bath and get all grungy but then next day would be as white as white, however since New Year she has kept a black waistcoat. I've been wondering if it is a 'resolution' I love the name 'Marmite' by the way. Will you be getting a 'Bovril'?

Maybe her secret is persil, but she never manages to get the mud off of her beak! Shes always forriging in the mud and eating the vegetables, theres just broccoli stalks left now Think I should invest in some netting
