iar fach goch
Last week I was visited by some people from the Welsh language radio station for Wales (Radio Cymru) who braved the mud and ventured to the bottom of the garden to interview me about the hens! They were doing an item on the increasing numbers of people who keep hens as pets. I managed to mention the eglu and told them all about the friendly forum I frequent for info on hens and other things. Don't know which bits they will keep in, but the presenter did get the giggles when she asked their names and why one was called Blondie! Alis girls
Sounds great - can we have your autograph now? A few years back OH who works on Radio 4 online was in a crowd scene in the Archers - and was cheering - he had gone up to Brum to watch it being made. We all listened in that evening to hear dad. Lewis
Stupid question ... will it be in Welsh or English? Do you know when it'll be on?
iar fach goch
Will be in Welsh, don't know yet when it will be on, am not sure I want to hear it, probably be really embarrassing!
Ain't Nobody Here
We'd have no idea if you're talking complete twaddle so I'm sure we'd all be very impressed .

iar fach goch
Well, I got a phone call at work at lunch time to say the programme was going to be on today at 1.15 - so I couldn't actually listen to it!!! Luckily, however, (or not as the case may be) it is available on I player! I had a quick listen amidst all the chaos at home/tea time but will have a proper listen later on in silence to hear quite how cringe worthy it is! All I know is that the eglu and forum both made it to the final edit!
Lewis
Sure you were great! I would listen but would probably understand 5 words in the whole interview
WitchHazel
Congratulations! Did you listen to it on Iplayer? How were you? Were your bits in English or Welsh (if your bit were in English, I''ll listen, but if it's in Welsh I won't understand it. Although it might make me smile to hear welsh welsh welsh Eglu welsh welsh)? iar fach goch
Well, I listened, I think it's ok, but I sooo don't sound like me, but apparently this is what everyone says. What I really love about it is that you can hear the girls in the background.

WitchHazel
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00y50kp/Blas_09_02_2011/ Just listened - fab! You sounded so happy and henthusiastic, and it was great to hear the girls burbling away. Don't speak any welsh, but I managed to pick out: "Blondie" "Pecking Order" "Eglow" "Forum" "under the weather" "pink" "hybrids" "s"Ooops, word censored!"s" (all with a lovely rich Welsh pronunciation) And "Iar" (yarr) of course. Which I know means "hen" Well done!
