chestnutmare
I have one, I've used only a couple of times but it's worked for me. I'm glad I bought it anyway.
bluekarin
It's not given off a horrible smell then? Some of the reviewers said it have off a plasticy smell, which smelt a bit like burnt plastic. I love soft boiled eggs but I either do them rock hard, or the white is still breathing
chestnutmare
No, I got mine from Omlet and haven't noticed a horrible smell at all. The reviewers aren't smelling boiled egg are they? I boiled eggs yesterday with them. It said 'soft' and I thought, surely, they haven't been in there long enough yet. So I waited til the timer got to soft/medium, thinking I'd still get soft eggs. Guess what I got - soft/medium eggs! I also like my poachers.
Christian
I bought one in Germany a few years ago and it does the job perfectly. As long as the eggs you are using are roughly the same size as the timer, it works a treat. Larger eggs need a bit more time (obviously)
Chucky Mama
I have one and it didn't leave a plastic smell until JS left the pan to boil dry and the it almost welded itself to the bottom. Still works perfectly though
CatieB
I love it. Perfect eggs - you just need to learn where on the inidcator is perfect for you
Charlottechicken
That's a good price! I've seen them for a lot more. I had one years ago from Poundland, it worked well but I gave it to a charity sale at work. Didn't ever notice a smell of burnt plastic
