Is this a lash ?

Recommended Posts

I found this in the chicken poo this afternoon, shell had a rubbery texture

And when Andy burst it, this came out.

It was mucosy, jellified and blood coloured.

Is this a lash or should I be concerned, chickens chickening about as normal, they are about 2 and a half years old.

Thanks.

Has anyone had a hard blood filled egg? Just reading about this made me want to ask as about 6 weeks ago I gave some eggs to my daughter and when she cracked one she said that there was a lot of blood in it, not just a blood spot. The girls were 22 weeks old when we got them in June and all the other eggs have been perfect. They are hybrids and still laying over winter although not as regularly as before. Both girls seem healthy. Any ideas if this is something similar to original post?

I had a hard filled blood egg ages and ages ago I now crack them into something in case but never had one again. Its just a one off I think - something went wrong!
