I'm looking to buy some crevecoeur hatching eggs any time this year... does anyone know of anyone that I could get in touch with?

 

I am a member of the poland breed club but the breeders list has been unhelpful on this occasion

 

Also hopefully will hatch out some houdans, I have a contact for these yay!

There used to be someone called Ken Blow in Worksop who sold CCs I think (although possibly it was houdans, sorry I can't remember). He used to advertise in the back of Practical Poultry.

Scarey hens..each to their own, but not too sure .

Then again I had a really ugly baby and I still loved him, mind you he's 28 now

I'll have a look at the Paris Agricultural show to see if there's any info on them, they're in my chickeny encyclopedia and I wondered about them too.

If I lived in France I'd definitely keep them - they'd be my poland substitute

These are covered by the Rare Breed Poultry Society so it would be worth contacting them, there were some at Stafford show last year so someone in the UK breeds them!

 

Edited to add - these are very similar to Sultans (but those have feathery legs) - Sultans are also rare but there are a few breeders about so you might have more luck there

I've emailed the rare poultry socienty, will wait to see if I get a response!

 

Googled Ken Blow and I have a telephone number, I'll ring him when I get some money and see if he still keeps them
