Hello, my lovely oldest son is looking for recommendations for over ear/on ear headphones for times when he's in the car etc & wants to tune out other noise.. No particular budget as he loves his music & this is more important than cost.Thanks in advance as always, Alli xx

I bought a pair of Sennheiser earphones recently which are noise cancelling but they're too darn good . When I wear them for running all I can hear is the thumping of my feet, my breathing and everything that seems to be going on inside my head . I'm sure they would cancel out the noise of annoying parents/siblings in a car .

 

They were reduced on Amazon to £15 (I'm almost tempted to give them to you and buy a less good pair ).

We have all treated ourselves to Sennheiser HD205 over ear headphones. They really are incredible sound quality! About £35 via Amazon. BIL has a pair of Bose, and these really are comparable.

My 2 boys both have Skullcandy headphones. They use them with their ipods in the car, their computers and the xbox. I can't comment on them myself, but they are both happy with them.

There are only 2 choices (IMHO) for decent headphones Sennheiser and Bose

I am actually trying to re-listen to albums that I haven't listened to in ages, using the Sennheiser phones. The music sounds so different, it is hard to describe. They really are that good!
