You add 1 scoop (supplied) of the powder to 2kg of their feed, mix thoroughly and offer the medicated feed only for 7 days. Mix up some more if they finish the 2kg before the end of the 7 days. As well as buying the Flubenvet powder and mixing it yourself, you can now buy Marriages pellets which are have Flbenvert in them. They are available in 10kg or 20kg bags. You feed in place of your normal feed for 7 days. To calculate how much you need, and whether it is worth you buying it, you should work on the basis that you need about 1kg per chook over the 7 days. So a 10kg bag will dose 10 chickens. Shelf life is only about 3 months though, so you can't keep it to the next worming. There is another thread running with a discussion about these pre-mixed pellets. chuckmum6 Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 I shall be worming my lot in the next month or so, they need worming in the autumn and spring (every 6 months). So your will be due soon. I find adding a splash of cod liver oil to the pellets and then adding in flubenvent powder and giving it all a good shake in a cake tin, all helps to give an even coating. Some use Flubenvet between one and four times a year (according to circumstances) with nothing in between, others prefer some kind of preventative treatment like Verm-x monthly as well.
