Donna C
Hi all, my two piggies have been in garage over winter, i do leave light on for them and door open for fresh air. But what i was wondering was is it warm enough for them to got outside now. Hate them being out of sight.

tracyann
I have kept many GPs over the years and yes they can be moved back outside. GPs do not like drafts and in weather like this I would provide them with a hutch cover so that they don't get wet as they will be miserable and catch a chill. I used to have mine in a shed in the winter and outside but used to cover their hutches up at nights or during horrid weather, think its a bit early to be moving them out, I'd wait until May as we could still get some snow. Ewsee
Hi, I would wait just a little bit when we had Percy, we used to cover his cage with blankets and add extra hay in the nights. Maybe introduce them gradually?? and see how they get on.
charlieh
Hi there. Our guinea pigs go outside for the summer months, usually end of May until the begining of September depending on the weather. We do aclimatise them first as the live in the house during the winter months.
DozyDoris
Bernie and Inka have been back out since mid April, at first I shut the pigloo door at night. Mind you at the moment they've more of a chance of boiling alive than freezing!!!! : )
