Dizzy-Deb
This morning, I let mine out of their WIR... to go free range while I sorted out fresh water, topping up of food, poo picking etc as you do. My girls always get their layer mash (still ) in the morning, plus some greens, corn, treats etc... cause its still darkish when i get home so too late for it then. I happened to look up just to check on them and noticed Mad Matilda stooping, and thought...oh oh whats up.... when all of a sudden an egg popped out... Silly girl, I think she thought she was going to miss out on too much to go back into . Suppose when you got to go you got to go. !!
Jools
Under the hedge, behind a wall, next to the barn, in a tarpaulin, between a planter and a fence, between two wood piles ..... all the same chicken!!
daxigirl
It wasn't a funny place but this morning Lisa was doing a lot of shouting as she wanted the nest box to herself so after an hour of this I thought I'll open the holiday home up to see if it would fix the trouble. Lo and behold her majesty vanished for half an hour to christen the new nest box. I think Paxo was allowed a royal visit.

Chortle Chook
Last week, one of mine, I'm not sure which, laid one on the water feature - a bubble fountain that is switched off at the moment. It has a funny sort of rock in the middle with a kind of scooped out dent at the top. That is where she put her egg
bucklamp
Poppet , our gingernut ranger, has recently taken to laying on top of the washing machine in the utility room. Of course we attempt to foil her efforts to lay there but it seems that she can be extremely quick if she needs to be.
JillM
Just as long as it's not on the spin cycle, or your eggs will be scrambled before you crack them!

JanTheDiver
Carrot often just lays where she is, especially if it is treat time as she doesn't want to miss out
