sadietoo
Did anyone catch this last night? I thought it was quite entertaining, if a little predictable, and it is shaping up for some nice relaxing Sunday night viewing in the next few weeks...my little antidote to Top Gear..... scarlettohara
Read the books years ago, there was a bit where a cockerel crowed and I leapt up thinking it was Freckles crowing in the night
Egluntyne
Enjoyed it. Have read the book a couple of times. I'm sure I clocked another TV aerial!
bluekarin
I watched it with ED and really quite liked it. We fear it is going to be a little predictable, but if its enjoyably so, then its something good to watch on a Sunday night. For a change. Old Speckled Hen
Nice easy watching though. I liked it.
Sam Palmer
Haven't watched it yet. Looking forward to it though. Saw the 1974 adaptation with Dorothy Tutin about 15 (or more?) years ago on TV late at night soon after I'd read the book. Very melodramatic and bleak! I liked the book better. Charlottechicken
I saw this too. I quite liked it, very gentle and not too taxing on the brain for a Sunday night I'm watching for the locations rather than the plot though. Are the beach scenes at Bridlington, does anyone know? I think I'll have to pay more attention if Egluntyne's already spotted aerials in the first episode
Egluntyne
Are the beach scenes at Bridlington, does anyone know? The scene where she was in the water in that gorgeous blue cozzy was definitely Bridlington.
bronze
I enjoyed it. I need a gentle drama now that lark rise has finished. I do miss Mr Henshall in Primeval still though
