The Dogmother
Be warned that this is very sweet and rich, so eat in small portions. I made this for Rosie and Phil's birthdays and it went down really well. Malted chocolate cheesecake 200g malted milk biscuits crushed to crumbs 100g salted butter (melted) 5tbspn caster sugar 2 x 300g tubs of full fat soft cheese – I use Philadelphia... if you use a cheaper brand or one from the deli counter then it won’t set!) 300ml double cream 300g white chocolate (melted) 200g milk chocolate (melted) 2tbsp Horlicks powder Bag of Maltesers Grease and line base and sides of a deep, 22cm loose-bottomed round tin. Mix the biscuits, melted butter and 2tbspns of the sugar (NOT all of it!), then press into the base. Chill while you make the filling. Divide the cream cheese and cream evenly between two bowls. Add the white chocolate to one, and the milk chocolate, Horlicks and remaining 3 tbspns of sugar to the other. Beat with an electric whisk until smooth. Spread the milk chocolate mixture evenly into the tin. Wipe around the edge to give a smooth edge. Spoon the white chocolate mix over the top and gently smooth. Decorate with grated chocolate and Maltesers and chill for at least 5 hours until firm.

Griffin
Daisy made that for us at Christmas. It was lovely but you're right about how sweet and rich it is, too much made me feel ill!

The Dogmother
Is it you who eats all my cake then Lesley? Seriously, while I love cake, I don't have a sweet tooth and this one is a bit much for me - I only eat a tiny slice. Mrs Webmuppe it is very easy and quick to make; I had very little time the night before and ran it up in about 20 minutes before I started on the other chores. I am sure that Lesley could make a much prettier version than me - I'm not hot on cake decoration
