Valkyrie
Christian at long last I have made it to your quilty shoppy. Nice ladies in there and I've come away with some Oriental fabric (damn!), some more thread, quilting needles and something else but I can't remember. They printed off some courses so I can show my friend and see if she wants to do any in the future. Tis much better than the shop in Staines. Much more room and the coursework in a separate room. Joy of joys! I have broken the news to OH (omitted telling him that I bought yet more material - what he doesn't know won't hurt him!). So thank you for the heads up. She did ask (not sure of lady's name, sounds Eastern European) how I heard of them and I said er, through chickens. Oh Christian. Yep. Tra la la, nice ride out too, lots of soldiers in convoy (whoohoo), and brimstone butterflies flitting, buzzards soaring. Nice sunny day. Plum
Sounds like my sort of day out Didn't you call in to Christian for a cuppa?
craftyhunnypie
Yes Christian! If you knew she was coming you'd have baked a cake... right? Sounds an idyllic sort of day. Emma.x
Valkyrie
I don't know where Christian lives (poor fellow is really lucky there!), but maybe he's on call. I wouldn't turn up unannounced though. They wanted to know who I was, said Kerry but then I said oh just call me Koojie - he'll know. Not only that I went on another excursion to M&S in Camberley for undies for OH. And still had time to clean the cube when I got home. Oh I just love these long sunny days. Just off to look at my preciouses before beddybies.

Spent the day at Earls Court Ideal home Show with Omlet It would have been Ricky you spoke to, a lovely German Lady. Glad you got the bits you needed. Fab shop isn't it? Valkyrie
Hello Christian. I thought you might have been working but I hope a good time was had by all at the IHE. My neighbour went there with her friend (much to her OH's annoyance as he had to take their daughter to a college open evening and he didn't want to go to the IHE either! ). Yes indeeeeeeedy it is a lovely shop. I have told my friend all about it and we will be meeting up next Wed to discuss the courses.

Valkyrie
It's called Quilters Dream in Andover. Sort of weird to find how to get inside - I could see where it was on the top floor, but couldn't see steps - aha a fellow came out and I saw they had stairs inside so in I went. Felt a bit like I was sneaking and then upstairs all the doors have grilles like a jail! They have a wool shop next door. I don't think their website is very good though.
