Some of you may remember that a couple of months ago, quinomlet asked for volunteers of a " certain age" to come forward to speak to a journalist who was writing an article on keeping chickens for a magazine for the other 50's called Choice. Well, I volunteered, spoke to a lovely person called Louise and sent her some pics of me and the chickens, and as an after thought, sent her a picture of Phillip, my white crested Polish cockerel.

 

The magazine has just arrived so I flicked through, and found - a picture of Phillip! No mention of me at all, but hey ho - he is a handsome boy! And there is a rather nice article about chickens and some lovely pictures of Louise and her hens. My moment of fame has come - and gone...

I'm so pleased for you I've always enjoyed the adventures of Phillip and his harem! Have you been watching that prog called An Island Parish with the cheerful Father Roddy and his chooks, including his chamois polands. He took them to a show, but I think I've managed to miss that episode. Congratulations

Ooops! I AM IN IT!! Comes of flicking through too fast... and reading it from the back. There I am in glorious colour with Shirley (Bassey). ( Cringe...) ... I think I preferred it when it was just Phillip...
