Tweety
My chicks are on Hemcore, and seem to be fine on it. Is Bliss similar? I just went with the bedding I use normally, having checked on the forum that it would be ok for the chicks.
Redwing
For brooders in the shed I use shavings or aubiose - really any absorbent bedding is fine For brooders indoors I use wood pellet cat litter, this doesn't get kicked around or kicked in to the room so far cleaner, it also keeps dust levels down. It doesn't look as nice or cosy but the chicks don't seem to mind
craftyhunnypie
Redwing, I took your advice on the cat litter last year - it was brilliant! Our chook sitters had to look after week old chicks for us & this stuff was the best for keeping clean . It prevented a lot of bedding getting kicked in the drinker, as chicks soon learn the chicken dance. This cat litter was one of the best tips I'd had! Thanks Redwing!
