chestnutmare
Taking good pictures of animals isn't easy - they just won't pose or keep still. My technique is to take as many pictures as possible and hope for a few half decent ones. Remember my 3? Here they are free ranging a couple of days ago. There's more woodchip out of the run than in but they'll be due to move site soon anyway, back to the front of the paddock with Omlet netting. They have the run of the place when they're left out at the moment, and we were nervous about this at first (we're on a small holding). I had visions of chickens running off into the distance but they stayed close by. Snowy, being the cheekiest, usually follows me wherever I go and they all instantly come to me with a whistle. Belle is quite independent and Willow is getting much braver, although she will never be a Snowy-type-of-brave. All in all, they're funny little creatures and I am very fond of them! Belle. The three of them busy scratching. Willow. She has a beautiful sheen when the sun is shining on her.

JillM
Lovely girls, Chestnutmare .... but how come you still have some grass? I'm so jealous! And trying desperately to grow a tray of grass for the chicks when they hatch...think I might have to get a couple of turfs from Homebase instead! chestnutmare
Thanks for the lovely comments. As for the grass, well, my three can clear grass with no problems too. But we live on a small holding so there's grass in the paddock and around the yard (where they are now). The chickens and even horses get a share - I close our gate and let them wander. There's always grass to be found somewhere, although I do wish the paddock had a bit more in there for the horses.

chestnutmare
Thanks for the lovely messages. I like the yellow too! Very cheery. Shame Omlet don't do Classic grub and glugs in yellow so I could be matching (I have orange ones)... or even better, just do a yellow classic eglu! Chortle Chook
Chestnutmare, I really like the orange grub and glug with the yellow. They go really well. Another combination I like is pink Eglu with purple grub and glug.
