Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Theres four chicks growing tail feathers, and have huge wings, and one has got teeny wings and no feathers..

They are 10 days old today.

 

Here are the two i think are frizzles. I have a feeling..

Fingers crossed they are girls..

I would say yes to both! I have a two week old pekin and the frizzling kind-of snuck up on me! I thought the wings looked a bit sticky-out and it didn't cross my mind it might be frizzle! Dad is a Silver partridge (smooth) and I'm assuming mum is my blue frizzle pekin!

I love frizzles.

 

I only have two frizzles, and one is a Polish , the other is a Gold Partridge Pekin.

I'm hopefully hatching some of my friends eggs, from Blue Splash hens and a Black Frizzle cockerel.

Yes, I think they are both Frizzles. I have 7 pure breed Frizzle chicks, 3 weeks old, and their wing feathers are very similar to those on your chicks.

I'm with Lewis, the first one certainly looks frizzled, but I'm not 100% about the second at this stage (but I am 70%-80% that one is too).

If No. 2 is a frizzle, then I think I've got five out of five in my brood that are too. I was doubtful of one, but at day 7 it looks just like the chick in Photo No.2, so I might have a "frizzle full house" .

That would be ace, I certainly get a higher proportion of Frizzles in my hatches so not sure if its dominant - I dont think its meant to be..

I can't really tell what I have yet. I'm pretty sure at least one of the black ones is a chap, there's quite an obvious line where the comb will be (which the other two black ones don't have). I've no idea yet about the two brown ones that hatched. I'll just have to wait and see.

I don't know how that Black chick is frizzled though... Unless Bruno carries the frizzle Gene, it's not a Polish cross Pekin, and i only put one Gold Partridge frizzle egg under, well, thats what i thought.

What does everyone think about this one? Defiantly not frizzled! Tcaczuk is a Wyandotte x Pekin, and one of my favorites.

Out of my 3 lavander frizzled pekins that survived, none of them are looking particularly frizzly! No doubt they will turn out to be boys as well...... But I love them so much!!!!!

These are my two "Gold" Pekin chicks at 10 days (just taken a few minutes ago), pretty sure both are Frizzle.

 

 

 

 

Two of the three blacks are also looking very firzzled now as well.
