emmastar Posted May 25, 2011 Share Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) Sorry to post but im so excited Just got in from work and sat on the sofa and the other half said "something wieried going on in your incubator tonight the eggs are moving !!!!! "FALLS OF THE CHAIR TO RUN INTO THE KITCHEN (me ) and both the eggs have piped and i can hear the chicks not that im counting on them untill they are out and in the brooder but whoooooooooooooooooooooo how am i going to be able to sleep tonight ???? emmastar Posted May 25, 2011 Author Share Posted May 25, 2011 Hi all update both are out of the shell and i picked up my day old too so i have quite a mix now Im so excited my silkie has hatched hes just done it about 10 min ago and i seen it all One thing thought if its ment to be a while silkie should it be greay ???? I dont mind a lavinder as i know the guy who i got the eggs from has them but its just a shock to me . So now we have Lavender Araucana French Splash Copper Marans Buff Laced Wyandotte Allready has been caled elle the silkie The cross (not to sure what this little fellow is a mix of ) And i forgot what the last one was i think a marans but not to sure which type . emmastar Posted May 28, 2011 Author Share Posted May 28, 2011 Well poppy the little maran has found her voice how loud !! haha she keeps getting ontop of the eh and cheeping away till i come and talk to her the rascal . There little personalities are starting to show The Araucana is always out and looking up when i go to the box she jumps onto my hand and is quite sewwt , The splash maran is shy and likes to hide under the eh . elle Wyandotte is the secnd bigest and she seames unfased my anything her tail feahers are starting to show and she is super cute . Fransis silkie is half the size of the others , She dives about under the rest grabing the food when the bigger few scratch about and is left alone by the others which i found odd as she looks so tiny , she is a right one with thefood bowl as she can get into it and scratches it all out not that the others mind this .
