Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hello I am a newbie and am seriously thinking of replacing my old wooden coop with an Eglu cube. Is the shop still open as I would love to bully my husband into bringing me over so I can see and touch a cube and check out which colour I prefer.

 

Another question, is the cube flatpack, I only have a Fiat Panda so am hoping I can fit the Cube in there and save on delivery costs.

I think you will struggle to fit a cube into a Punto, but someone on here might have managed it! I got mine 2nd hand and it fitted in a transit van.

Thanks for the replies, I have never seen a cube in the flesh so it is hard to imagine the size. I think we will drive to the shop anyway just to have a look around.

 

It is a Panda not a Punto, it is amazing what we can actually fit in there but having seen the other thread I don't think we will manage the cube. I just begrudge the huge delivery charge, I hate paying for delivery

I have fitted flat-packed cubes into all sorts of things but I don't think it's fit into a Panda - the base (biggest part) is just too wide.

Well MrB is going to drive me to the Omlet shop so I can at least see the cube and the colours in the flesh (and probably buy some pretty things).

Yes it does - we used this code when we ordered our pink cube - and as we are within omlets 'delivery' area it meant we got free delivery and a very nice man to build our omlet all for FREE

Well we drove to Oxford to look at the cube in the flesh.... its huge.

 

Decided against the pink as it was a little on the pale side for me (I like hot pink/cerise) so now just debating on the purple or the green.

If I am brutally honest I do still prefer wood hen houses (currently have 3rd hand kids wendy house) but plastic is much more practical, also we are hoping to move in 5 years so will be easier to move a Cube than get a wooden house dismantled and moved then rebuilt in a day .

Due to the fact I had a large drinking session the night before we skipped lunch. I also slept for most of the car journey

 

Back to the cube I know that as soon as I order one and have it in use Omlet will bring out a new colour or a patterned one which would have been my dream colour.

 

Not sure what my girls will make of the cube ladder though, it seems a bit boingy

Great choice. Welcome to the forum. Don't forget to post pictures once you have set it up. You certainly won't regret getting the cube. So easy to clean and they add colour to the garden all year

Well hello Moomperu, we people must stick together. I am swapping my work hours around so I can now be in for the delivery.

 

I am near Derby, if you are having the Omlet home delivery (rather than courier) then the delivery person will build it for you. Wouldn't it be great if the van has the Omlet logo

If you are within the Omlet delivery area then the van will be one of theirs and liveried. Outside that area and you will get a courier van and to build it yourself.
