We are new chicken owners and I was thrilled that within hours the 2 chickens were feeding from mine and the children's hands -we were giving them treats. But now every time we approach the run and open it to add food etc, the chickens expect treats and peck us. I can understand why they are doing this but what can I do to stop this?

I would only feed treats from a bowl. That way they won't associate your hands with food.

I think I would throw some corn at the other end of the coop to distact them .
