Perfect. I never was any good at maths but chicken maths, ah that's a whole different thing . . . now I know that it's algorithms and algebra I should have specialised in

Now here's a thing . . .

 

you wouldn't want a lonely chicken and it is kinder to introduce two chickens at once so . . .

 

- 1 = + 2

 

but as you wouldn't want a new chicken to be on its own +1 also = +2

 

and then its nice to have a round number but you probably started with 3 so . . .

 

3 + 2 = 5 but that is not a round number so you have to get another but as +1 = +2 you now have 7 but that is still not a round number so again you go for +1 which of course = +2 and now you have 9 . . .
