Lorax
Finally it's up. Dp had to raise the level of one part of the ground, do some brick laying (long story), lay some paving and now it's up. How long, do you think, before we have to put in alternative flooring? (As in because it'll turn to mud?) The run is about 5m x 3m and we have four hybrids. I cannot upload pics (really don't know why) otherwise I would!
chicken bark
If it has a roof on it hopefully it won't turn into mud. These tasks can throw up the odd challenge can't they? Glad you have got it now. Sounds like a good size too.
Lorax
Ah. No roof. Half the run is covered by a tree and fixing a roof is not impossible, but not straightforward so we were going to see if we could do without. Bad idea?
Sam
I managed for about 6 months, but when it rained it turned into a total mud puddle so every time I walked in I got covered in mud and so did the chickens! This was rare though and managed fine, but put a roof on the other day and love it
Lorax
We may well do that in the end!
beach chick
We may well do that in the end! well you're sorted for now! you can review the situation when the weather gets worse, and maybe you can roof just a bit of it?
