johnandkymberley
I have just mixed Diatomaceous Earth with water and gave it to our hens with a syringe, just because we never know who get any or not, they had 5mls each, we dont do this every day, usually about once a month, is this bad to mix it with water? Mollie333
Isn't it meant to be 5% in the food rather than in the water?
Lewis
Not heard about giving it in water either I wouldn't bother syringing it - if you did want to give it in feed or water, you can add it and they will take their food and water as normal and get the dose they need
Ain't Nobody Here
I don't give mine Diatom orally although I know you can put it in their feed. I wouldn't syringe it in water, it's tricky to administer and my hens certainly don't enjoy the experience!
Chucky Mama
I wouldn't syringe anything down a hen unless absolutely necessary and it was specified on the instructions. They can inhale fluids etc very easily.
