mollyripkim
I know someone asked if I could post some pictures of my girls so hope this works. This is Henrietta, impossible to get a good picture as she jumps at the camera and is the smallest and bossiest, she has just finished moulting so doesn't look her best at the moment. Gertie Gracie Flo who has never really grown up, still cheeps. Doris Hope you all like them, I am waiting on two white girls at the moment, they are only 10 weeks so not long now. Clarabelle
Oh my goodness, your girls are absolutely gorgeous. I've looked at the pictures of your garden and that looks amazing too. We had a partridge silkie called Henrietta and she was lovely, I miss her such a lot. Sadly she became suddenly paralised and we had to take her to the vets to be put to sleep. We've given up keeping chickens very recently because our garden has been wrecked and we have had so many foxes visiting lately, but I feel so torn, especially when I see pictures like these. I think our silkie probably did much less damage to the garden than our hybrids. You're lucky to have such beauties - where did you get them from? mollyripkim
Hi Clarabelle, thanks for your comments, what a shame you had to give up, foxes are such a problem. Touch wood I haven't seen any in the garden but they are in a cube at night, I work from home so they can free range all day which is nice, I got my girls from Hamble Valley Poultry, they go back for their holidays too! I think ScarlettO'hara and maybe some others have girls from there too.
