Its been a funny old week...

:P:P:wink:

I am really the epitome of professionalism when selling Eglu's - love doing it, especially with Jan (although Simon's easy on the eye  ).

Actually I'm trying to sell myself as their events coordinator, to work from home booking the shows and folks to do them, as the office is so swamped, but I think it was taken as a bit of a joke...

Anyway - the big news is - Goldie is still alive!

She is looking really quite sleek, has put on quite a bit of weight (constant handfeeding of corn by the children will do that!) and the injuries on the back of her head and neck seem to be healing nicely. I'm not sure whats going to happen as they are now itchy so she's started to scratch. Maybe I need one of those vet collars...

Still, itchy means its healing. Looks like its still clean, so time will tell. She's still in isolation. I'm scared to put her in with the other 4 until the anti-peck spray comes and I can douse her with it.

The other Araucana is still ok, skittish thing though...

So, all your good vibes helped Goldie. Thank you. :D

That is so good to hear about Goldie - what a tough little cookie she must be! 8)

I love the araucanas - mine was a bit skittish, still is to a point, but much calmer now she is laying (occasionally  ). But she is the only one who, once picked up, is happy to snuggle in my arms and actually be cuddled and stroked! She's a funny little thing.

Right, well.

A Goldie update (thanks for all the pm's)

Goldie is alive and well and seems to be completely recovered. She is coming in to lay, I think. She has been integrated in to the Borg (the other lot) apart from miss bully-girl Poach, who has just finished a week long stint in the cooler for attacking Goldie when re-introduced.

I have anti-peck spray which seems to be holding up. Poach is going back in to Cluckingham Palace this weekend, so fingers crossed theres no more pecking. :?

Mind you, it would be nice if some of the little feathery freeloaders would lay an egg now and then...
