Snowy
Noticed my usual feed store has now started supplying Garvo, and wanting a change from the normal £15 organic pellets, today I bought some to try. Plus a bag of Alphamix or something, and some treat stuff that has dried woodlice in it! Hope those chooks are grateful!
Griffin
I spotted a bag of it in a garden centre so I thought I'd buy it as a treat for my girls. They loved it, but seeing as though it cost about £13 and they got through it in five days it's a one off treat only
Space Chick
I love Garvo (well not me personally, but the girls are great on it ) The treats are lovely too (again not from personally experience although the woodlice do look tempting )
Tweety
I've just bought some for the first time too. I got some Alfamix as a treat, mixed corn with seashells and sunflower seed, and some scratcher layers pellets. Does anyone know what the difference is between the ordinary layers pellets and the scratcher stuff? The place I got it from didn't know, but said it would be fine. The Dogmother
Mine alternate between that and Smallholders, they don't seem too bothered what they get
Snowy
Well I've heard so many people raving about it, although haven't taken much notice as I had never seen it locally However, I was admiring Em's Indian game pair on Sunday and they had the most amazing, thick yellow legs - Em said they were Garvo legs! Our local shop seems to have a really good selection in! Scattered some woodlice for them earlier and they hoovered it up very quickly

The Scratcher Layers is apparently for hens that do a bit of free ranging around your garden - and the other Layers(complete) is for more confined birds. Mine are on the Scratchers as their basic but they absolutely love the Alfamix - which is also a complete food - but rather expensive ....and if you mix a bag of Alfamix with your basic Layers Pellets, they pick out all the scrummy Alfamix and scatter the pellets around on the floor, so its a real waste. sandyhas3chucks
Apparently thr alfamix for chicks is ideal if you have some non layers as there is enough of what they all need for you to let them share. the layers mash looks very like ground mixed corn? My only concern is that it has GM soya in it.
