auntielizzie
Definitely interested in that - I go to Titmuss for most of my supplies anyway - I would like to try Garvo as my girls don't seem to be too enthusiastic with either of the pellets I've been giving them. I tried the Organic Food Company pellets first, then I have been trying Smallholders - they don't seem particularly pleased with either of them although they do like it when I make it into "porridge" by adding water. Sheilaz
Thanks to our poultry club secretary, Titmuss in Wheathampstead will be stocking Garvo - 10 minutes from me I will update when stock is in for anyone interested Thank you so much for posting! Just picked up the usual from there today but would love to try Garvo when it's in. I had thought of asking them if they'd consider stocking it, but hadn't done so yet. Brilliant news, thanks! keyhole kate
I really want to try Garvo but found getting to Titmuss's a bit of a mystery tour on top of that a guy in a landrover reversed into my car which is still going through insurance from my last visit will have to think about that one thanks for the heads up though

Mercedes55
Thanks to our poultry club secretary, Titmuss in Wheathampstead will be stocking Garvo - 10 minutes from me I will update when stock is in for anyone interested Any idea when they will be stocking it and if they will be stocking all the different types? We do sometimes go over there and I usually phone beforehand but the staff aren't too good at knowing what they have in stock. Also what is it about Garvo that everyone raves about as having looked at their website I can't work out what's in it that isn't in the other brands. I see someone mentioned paying £20 a bag, that seems a lot to pay for 20kg of food, but on the Garvo website I was sure it said £9.85 for 20kg of layers pellets. Maybe I am missing something
scarlettohara
I went to Titmuss yesterday and hurrah there was Garvo, unfortanately only the fancy stuff and no layers mash I asked if they had any - no, and they would only be ordering it if people asked for it I explaind that this was what most people used plus pellets and growers. So if you want it you need to ring or go in and ask - I have obviously said I will buy layers

I did email them at the weekend about it too, but no reply. In the past I have phoned beforehand to avoid a wasted journey but they always say they are too busy to check their stock I just phoned them again and they said they have 10 bags of the layers pellets in stock, I think the code was GA137. Just need to get over there

Mercedes55
Mine hate the pellets so be warned Ah maybe I should give it a miss then. Don't want to upset the little girls. Right now they are all being wormed and I swear they don't like those Marriage medicated pellets because they haven't eaten nearly as much as they usually do
chickencam
Our babies came from somewhere that feeds Garvo so we have bought a bag and have been mixing it with the Allen & Page pellets and they seem happy enough there is a local supplier so we may continue even though it is slightly more expensive. Mercedes55
Well OH has gone up to Titmuss to buy a bag so we can try it out on our girls. It's not much more expensive than the regular food and about the same price as the ex batts food I think, so will see how we get on with it. Assuming they do have some in stock, won't believe they have till we get it
