Margalot
Hi, I lost my darling Mrs Wiggums she had to be PTS after a severe prolapse, its such a shame as she was the friendliest of the four the most beautiful and worst of all my favourite hen I am now looking to get 2 new hens, so introductions are easier but they will need to be large fowl as my hens are Brahmas. I was thinking of either more Brahmas, Orpingtons, Cochins, or Salmon Faverolles. My old supplier has moved and I cant seem to locate any near me I am willing to travel a bit but wondered if any one could recommend a breeder / supplier in the Wiltshire / Berks / GLos/ Oxford area? Please help my morehens is driving me mad! Michelle

Margalot
Hi, Still no luck Fleur from Wylye Valley is back on thursay though so may travel down there, has anyone bought hens from Wylye Valley?
UKMARCH
Hi, we got 4 new girls at the weekend from Wylye Valley they are just settling in at the moment but are lovely. We wanted speckled sussex but there were so many lovely ones it was difficult to choose I think there were brahmas and faverolles as well as loads of others so we had lots to choose from but we weren't specifically looking for those so didn't notice how many there were. It was raining and they were all hiding in the house. Ours are 14 and 16 weeks. Fleur was very helpful so will be able to tell you what larger fowl there are. I would go back again as there were lots that took my fancy! Our new girls:
Redwing
Wiltshire Chickens have a nice array of quality pure breeds but I cant remember exactly what sorts
Daphne
Chalk Hill Poultry - in Hants I think. They have many different breeds. Not bought from there myself but I have seen them recommended.
Patricia W
Wyle Valley are my favourite - I got some Aracaunas last year and they lay blue eggs every day. It was worth the drive, but don't try going past Stonehenge on a weekend - the back way is better ( I found it on the way back !)
