Brahmas, new Pekins to add to my collection!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone

Should really start posting more...

I thought I might show you my new arrivals that I had from a friend last weekend. Two Lemon Pyle Brahmas. I think there's one boy and one girl- both unrelated as she has two sets of parents, so would be fine if I wanted to breed from them next year, but if both turn out to be boys she will have one of them back and give me a girl :D

Originally went for a little black Pekin cockerel, he's super low and looks lovely for his age (14 weeks roughly) I saw his Dad and he is stunning, so fingers crossed he grows into him. Those who went to the PCGB National Show 2010, his Dad's the one that won for Simon Windle

He is lovely, so tame already. Putting him with a chocolate frizzle hen which is... Bigger than him, yet they are about the same age. :anxious: Hopefully to throw a few Chocolates and split blacks.

But that wasn't it.. I saw this little one in the brooder soaking wet through and my friend says i can have her. There's nothing wrong with her at all, was all dry by the time we'd spoken and got the others in the box, she is lovely, I think the kids have called her 'Dolly' i could be wrong though  Even though we already have a Doll.. :anxious::whistle:

Yup, my Dad said i can have most of the garden around the back, and do whatever i want with it! So i plan on keeping my 6M x 6M WIR for my Pekins, but fencing off a 2m x 3m square for my new Black Pekin cockerel, mottled frizzle and chocolate frizzle, and then the Brahmas will live with them until they grow too big for them and then will build them another run. Got loads of space now! :D You will have to come up Plum. :D (when it's tidy  )

Thanks all x
