Mrs Summers now has sour crop (don't think she is going to make very old bones ) but thanks to the excellent thread in poultry health I have followed the instructions and she has been sick (quite a lot). She is now tucked up in bed with water with added crossgates probiotic. I will give her some yoghurt later - she likes rice, would it be OK to mix with that ?

I had to empty it again that day but this morning her crop was empty so that was good. She wanted to freerange so I let her (she may not have many fring days left \)

Sounds like you got her out of this hole. Fingers crossed.

I have noticed that her feathers have started to grow back since her vitamin injection

She's being naughty about going in again which is nice to see

If she will eat rice, then mixing it with yoghurt will be fine. The yoghurt alters the ph balance of the crop, so anything you can do to get her to eat it, would be good. I had to mix it with tuna, to get mine to eat up!
