well as i needed a run for the eglu (i sold the run as it gave me a bad back) hubby has just made me a mini me wir which is 5x8ft just for the eglu for intros or youngsters.

 

just needs the roof and wire now and then i will take a pic.

 

its designed that when not in use it can me easily stored away but i do plan to use it

That sounds great I ask OH about making a run which had hinges so it could be folded up and stored when not in use or for using around the garden but with no roof, look forward to seeing yours when its done. I haven't got a bad back but we've got a temporary divide in our run and its really hard to bend and clean I kept banging my head!

well this isnt hinged (although i thought it would be) he's a joiner/carpenter so seems to think that putting it together each tme with a few screws will take 30 seconds

 

it does look fast but will we have to see

it will be fine for the eglu and there plenty more room than the eglu run in there annnnnnd no more bad backs from crawling in!

as you can see the roof is on the floor

 

two doors so i can seperate if needed and most importantly whrn cleaning out i can put a temp board in and clean one side then shifty the little ones over and clean the other always keeping them safe from slurpy lipped dogs

well i already have a 12x6 one with a cube so i dont need it any bigger really its just to house the eglu for newbies/youngsters. does seem a shame for it to stay empty for too long tho.

Thanks I really love it and must post a picture of it now with it's roof on as it looks so much better.

 

it's also there if I need to help out a friend with holidays etc so that's cool as well.

 

I am thinking speckled Sussex in the spring, I have always wanted one so I must hatch some of those. I loved hatching and found it such a wonderful experience. I am lucky to have some wonderful friends that helped me with this .. You know who you are xx
