Snowy
I've been a bit wary of free ranging the banties - they are so small! I can just imagine them disappearing into the undergrowth never to be seen again! Anyway, today I bit the bullet - moved their run into a small area of the garden enclosed by omlet netting and let them out I am pleased to say I didn't lose any! And they seemed to enjoy themselves! House and run in the new area - Mimi ventures out first: The other two soon followed: Thought I might lose them in here! Long grass is a bit awkward in feathery boots: They couldn't quite get the hang of the log roll: Lulu decides to fly along it: It was all very exhausting so they decided to have an early night:
Groovychook
Aww bless them- they're so sweet! The first time I let my banties out to free-range within the netted area, the naughty sablepoots squeezed straight through the netting ! At least they had the good manners to pop straight back in

daxigirl
Aaahhhh they're so cute, it's all so exciting when you take the plunge to let them out. I bet you didn't get anything done the whole time they were out.
Bramble
Oh sweet! My new ex-batts had their first go at free ranging yesterday (in the big wide world, AKA, the garden) they quickly got the hang of it, but also seemed happy enough to go back in the run when they'd had enough (when they could find the door, that is )
