Valkyrie
Our black silkie and one of the Eggy Babes (Egg Lou hatched her). The cancer eventually got the better of her and so was dispatched quickly yesterday. Fondly remembered as a daft little bird always eating something - always that little top knot bobbing up and down - and sneaking through the fencing to get into the veggie patch. The crouching down whenever her name was called was just so funny to watch. Sadly missed but no change to the pecking order apart from the Maran who will now be rock bottom. Valkyrie
Oh and she loved being dried with the hairdryer - in those cold and wet winter days she would raise her wings and turn to get dried in a particular spot. If I didn't know any different I'd say she got wet on purpose! Thanks peeps. xx

MedusA
So sorry to hear about Kitty, but you've done the right thing. RIP little chook. I love Silkies. They are such characters. I am really dreading losing my two at some point. They are my favourites.
