I was hoping because he hasn't started crowing he might be a girl and wouldn't have to go to the big flock in the sky.....hes such a character and so friendly and him and George are inseperable....there will be lots of tears, wine and chocolate on that day. . Doesn't it seem to be the case that the more dominant cock starts crowing first, then when he's gone, another one steps up? So they don't tend to start crowing all at the same time. I have 2 x 13 week olds and am wondering how they are doing size wise as they are tiny! here are cagney & lacey But also - yes in my 10 chicks hatched back in May 4 were boys and only 1 crowed first and was the dominant male.
