chookingham
Just bought this for my girls as a change from mealworms and they went mad for it. Also has some poutry spice in it too which will be good for them as they are looking a bit worse for wear - some mini-moulting going on I think! Hubby thinks I am bonkers as I buy more treats for the chooks than I do for him. He was most disappointed that the corncobs I bought at the supermarket were not for him
majuka
We tried earthworms with our girls and they were not impressed and yet they go mad for mealworms The only way we got them to eat them was when we accidentally left the tub out with the lid off in a light drizzle and they would ate them once they were more 'juicy'. squiffs
are they dried earthworms? eeeek! I pick out live ones and give them to them because I enjoy watching the Benny Hill-esque tussle that ensues, but dried ones would creep me out
majuka
The ones I got were dried, they smelt terrible! I've dug up a few live ones for my girls too, hope the neighbours didn't see me
chookingham
this stuff is not bad - the earthworm 'bits' are mixed in with flaked oats and other seeds, so I just grab a handful and chuck it in. I can't tell which bits are worm and which are the black sunflower seeds unless I look really closely. so I don't
Chortle Chook
If they're dried I'll give it a go too as a change (I mean I'll be offering them to my chickens, not trying them myself). I can pick up the odd earth worm but I couldn't stick my hand in a pot of live ones. A wee while ago I got a pot of live mealworms from Wiggly Wigglers. It was just so I won't be doing that again. Lewis
We sell it at work too - is it the one that looks like muesli? Apart from the few worms, it almost looks edible! Glad they like it
