Bramble
Title says it all really, just wondering if Omleteers can recommend any wide/extra wide leg wellies - I was wondering about "muck boots"? Thanks everyone! Edited November 14, 2011 by Guest

Cinnamon
I don't like the Crocs wellies, but the Nadia boots with the welly type bottom & furry top are brilliant & nice & wide on the leg, with the bonus that if they are too tight, you can push them down a bit
Redwing
Hunter do a shorter wider welly I have some Muck Boot wells, they are very comfy and I love them, I have the short 'ribble' ones which are easy to kick on and off
craftyhunnypie
Having Muck boots for Xmas off my sister. I've got croc wellies, but they aren't really brilliant for here - plus not too supportive under foot. I wear wellie socks for a bit of warmth. I've got some fashion wellies for popping the shop / post office in, which are a bit more lady like, but they only just fit my legs! I can't tuck any jeans in them, so no good for out on the land. I want full length wellies that would fit my muscley legs - so will be watching this thread. Emma.x
Lesley
I love my Crocs wellies Carl had Muckboots and they've fallen apart in just one year - we must sort out the invoice and contact them.
donald
Hi Muck boots are good as they neoporene(or whatever its called top so its stretchy, very comfy) Just check the tread on the sole as I bought a pair and the tread was very low and fine and on wet days it was like walking on ice! Get normal tread, they do different treads. The other wellie that I like for my wide calf are the 3/4 wellies as they are a lot more freedom and dont dig in below the knee, I use to ride my horse in them as they were so comfy. I still get them and they cost me about £14 a pair. Equestrian shops are a good place to advise on this and they usually stock a good choice. Good luck
Bramble
I've been doing LOTS of research on boots (I know, I need to get out more, but I can't 'til I get my boots!). There's LOADS of stuff online, but obviously, ideally I'd like to try them on before I buy, though it's looking like that might not be possible... Anyway ... in my research, I've come across "Country Boots" the well known ones being "Dubarry" (you know the kind of brown ones with darker brown hoops on) ... I definitely won't be buying Dubarry ones they are WAY too expensive, but have seen lots of other brands, Toggi, Dublin, Just Toggs, Wyre Valley etc - anyone got any experience of these, please?
