Guest
I happened to catch some of it. It included the story I'd heard before (Here probably ) of the headless chicken which lived. And a touching story at the end of a white silkie who gave up her life for her babies - and then lived as well!
Couperman
We just watched the History of the chicken programme before switching to TISWAS. I found the lady with the pet Silkie cockerel rather scary I can understand people being fond or even loving their hens but to take them shopping is just weird! edit: spellsheck Couperwife found the chick deployment system a bit harsh/undignifed/cruel, she was suprised they survived the trip. I saw a utube video of a similar thing called a chic cannon, can't remember if it was posted on here but it was rather horrible. Then the story of the chicken living happily without a head er.. how exactly does that work then? It should have gone into politics! I am glad it's owners didn't make their millions out of it though. I thought it was wrong and cruel. Then there was the fighting Rooster breeder blokes I thought civilised countries had banned that kind of thing. Liked the super hero silkie mum story though, especially the little purpose built hen house! what a guy! Kev

Laura & CTB
For the most part I enjoyed it! - Not all the nasty cruel chickeny things but the other bits! The chicken going for a drive out in the car made me laugh - he looked like he was enjoying himself The silkie story at the end was lovely - just like a good Lassie film I love the bit about how we should be proud to be called "chicken".
