chicken bark
Okay so I have had one of the best chicken days of my life! I got to see so many breeds I had not seen in the flesh before and I got to stroke a Naked Necks naked neck! So I am now the proud owner of a trio of Andalusians the boy has made his voice heard already and it is a proper 'cock a doodle do' not a rusty squeak or a strangled cat. I also have a very pretty Frizzle and Silkie one of which has already laid me an egg. The icing on the very great day was when I got home and found my Porcelain Sabelpoot girl/s had come into lay - not only that when I hunted around I found two more eggs! Bliss. Chortle Chook
They are very pretty hens and the cockerel looks like he'd be a proper crower. I'm as my boy is defo a 'strangled cat' crower.

docsquid
Wow, he's a gorgeous boy! Wish we could have a cockerel, it would make managing the hens much easier. What a fabulous fellow!
Chortle Chook
Your Andalusian girls look so pretty, I had to take a look on The Omlet Breeds area to find out more about them. There are only two pictures of Andalusians up there so I feel sure you should submit pix of your girls and your boy to Omlet - you just have to click the link under the pictures (AND you get money off Omlet purchases if your pix get accepted ) Also there are no reviews for what they are like as a breed. What made you go for them?
chicken bark
I have to say Cheaky Chook that I knew nothing about them. I just saw them up for sale and was smitten. I read up what I could about them (including Omlets breed section). I have two trios of Sabelpoots for breeding and another rare breed was too good an opportunity to miss. I am really happy as the boy and Splash girl ate out of my hand this morning. First time I had tried it with them too! So far I have not noticed too much noise but they do need a covered run Will try and get some good photos and submit them.
