I've just found my little cuckoo pekin Lou lou dead in her run. She was only eight months old. She was never quiet right since I got her as an 8 week old chick and just didn't thrive like her sisters. i spent six weeks nursing her back to health as a chick but she didn't grow much and didn't fully develop as a pekin should. Tbh I didn't think she would make it through the winter but at least she died peacefully with her friends. Rip little one.

Know what you're going though at the minute, my mum's down to the two silkie chicks, which are poorly, that she bought and 1 of the boys that I hatched out of 9 (I've got 1 boy also). They've been taken to so called chicken vets ( )but they don't seem to have been able to recognise their ailments and supply the correct treatment. What a waste. She's talking of not wanting any more now she's that upset.
