The Dogmother
Oh good grief, not more they'll either be stolen to work if they are lurchers, or to be used for bribery (get money form the owners) or as bait dogs. Please be very careful when out and about with your dogs.

lillybettybabs
Gosh that's a lot of dogs We have just bought some camera's to put up around the kennels and have taught the dogs to bark if someone approaches the house. Best advice is to never let your dog go out of sight when your are out walking them as some dogs are stolen to order and could have been watched for a while. The Dogmother
Good for you! The latest heartbreaking story is of 2 lurchers thrown from a moving van on the A43 near Brougthon in Northants, they were trussed together with rope and badly injured. Lurcher folk in the area are scouring the woods and fields night and day but haven't yet found them, they will be terrified, cold and hungry. This is how my rescue dog Cyrus was dumped
lillybettybabs
I heard about that, Gun dog folk in the area have been passing the info around to try and help.
The Dogmother
Glad to hear it. They've been out too long on cold nights, I doubt that they are still alive unless they've managed to find shelter. 'someone' has been taking down the posters that the searchers have been putting up The van has been traced but it was sold by the builders who it was registered to and no new owner has reg'd it
