My Columbine is very unfriendly; I can't handle her, bullies the ex-batts when they all FR together but is gorgeous girl with a lovely quiff and beautiful blue eggs.

I have to say that I've had the ex-batts for the lest amount of time but I do love their cheeky personalities - no blue eggs though :(

I guess you can't have it all

Suppose it just goes to show that personality is down to the bird not the breed .

Couldn't agree more, I have had particular breeds on the recommendation of others, only to find that their nature is completely different than described. For example my Ancona was supposed to be difficult to handle, but she was the one that jumped into my arms. I have 4 cream legbars, all very different.

My Columbine is one of the 20 percent that doesn't lay blue eggs (s***s law I got that one), but she is friendly and easy to pick up and has never been flighty.

Another one here who has a friendly columbine. She's top hen these days and a very confident bird (but doesn't bully). She's very friendly - doesn't particularly like being picked up, but will happily climb all over you if you have corn, mealworms etc.

describes mine to a T except shes always been top girl
