We bought three beautiful Cotswold Legbar hens back in November and today we had our first blue egg from Ola! So excited.

My cream legbar produces olivey green eggs; I have an Araucana which I hope will give me a blue egg in the not too distant future.

am I jealous..YEs I am!! congrats on the egg-i brought an araucana last summer but she turned out to be a he! hopefully his chicks will be laying lovely coloured eggs!!

Yes, that happened to me too!

 

I took him back to the farm where he came from and then when they had a 4mth old female, they phoned me to collect her. I'm hoping she will be laying soon

I would love to post a picture, indeed we had another blue egg today ! But sadly I am not very good on a coputer and I have no idea how to do it. I know there are instructions on the forum and I have tried to follow them but can't seem to get it to work.

You have to put the photo on something like Photobucket.

 

When you have uploaded your image you click to enlarge it

 

Then you click on the - Img Code - which is on the right hand side of the page

 

It tell you it has copied the code

 

Then you go back to your post and just paste the code in and ----- hey presto

It is indeed simples. It's surprising how much I've used it over the years to share photos. And with chickens and eggs as stunning as ours Photobucket is necessary!
