moochoo
Here's a blast from the past a great recipe for chocolate concrete! Ingredients: 8oz plain flour 6oz sugar plus some to sprinkle 6oz butter/margarine 1 egg 2 tbsp cocoa powder Method: Pre heat oven to gas mark 3 or equivalent Put all the dry ingredients into a bowl Melt the butter Add the egg and butter to the dry ingredients and mix Prepare baking tin about 12" x 8" x 1 " Put mixture into the tin and spread evenly Brush the top with water and sprinkle with sugar Bake in the oven at gas mark 3 for 45 minutes - less for a softer 'crete, more for a harder one (DENTURES BEWARE!!!) Cool after baking for 5 minutes in the tin, then cut into squares Enjoy hot or cold

moochoo
Glad you've used the recipe and it's worked ok. I find because it's so quick to knock together it's good for short notice visitors It should keep for a while too - not that it ever does.
