Ain't Nobody Here
Little Layla, my new Aracauna hybrid, was in with the big girls who were giving her the occasional peck. She jumped up on the garden bench and I could see her thinking "I wonder if I could fly from here onto the grass" (on the other side of the Omlet netting). She decided she couldn't. She then worked out that if she jumped onto the (open) bottom half of the WIR stable door, she'd have no problem. Job done . My older girls have never worked that one out . Ain't Nobody Here
I've had to rig up some netting to foil her evil plans . She's looking very puzzled .

sparkysmum
My araucana roosted in the trees for a long time & we've even had to retrieve her from the field
Ain't Nobody Here
Eek, don't say that, Alli . I've no idea how I'd get her back if she did that, she's not yet worked out that the rattly tub means corn . I also put up some plastic netting behind the garden bench - I've seen a couple of them sitting on the back of it eyeing up the Omlet netting which isn't that high. sparkysmum
I could have clipped her wings but have never really wanted to do that. The night we had to retrieve her fro the field was scary. Twas cold & dark and we had to search about by torch light. Eventually found her in a hollow in the ground. Must have been disorientated that night. Thankfully she's not been so adventurous since. Hope your lady settles down sooner Alli x
