JS1 Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 I read a while back that Valentine's Day is the 'traditional' time for chickens to restart laying after the winter break. So, naturally, I'm expecting 11 eggs from 11 hens today So far (up to 11am) only one girl has done her duty today, and she's new so hadn't stopped laying in any case. Am I doomed to disappointment?? Luvachicken Posted February 16, 2012 Share Posted February 16, 2012 I had 4 eggs for the first time this year from my 4 girls on Valentine's Day,only one had been laying alternate days in Jan, but I didn't want to post on here til later, as last time I wrote about getting 4 eggs from them, one of my girls got really poorly the next day.
